On and on and on...
On the plus side, I am almost always willing to put all of the above aside to spend time doing something fun with or for my kids. Yesterday, for example, we went swimming with my friends K & T and their kids. We had a GREAT time. The boys LOVE hanging out with their buddies and that means I get to hang out with two of my favorite women.
Last night, the boys started wrestling camp. It's just a three day camp and Rambo just fell right into place. Rocky expressed an interest toward the end of Rambo's season, so we signed him up for the camp, too. From the look on his face while they were practicing the moves, I think he was enjoying himself! Yay!
Today's workout:
90 jumping jacks
20 tricep dips
10 sit-ups
30 bird dogs
30 second plank
30 squats
15 incline push-ups
40 crunches
10 oblique crunches (each side)
20 standing calf raises
I'm contemplating a run at the YMCA tonight while the boys are at wrestling camp.
Hubs had a follow-up appointment for his blood pressure on Monday and Dr. H was very pleased by how much the meds were helping. We were going to try a different medicine, but it's rather cost prohibitive, so instead we're going to try a reduced dose of his current med. He's experiencing a little fatigue/sluggishness. That was expected in the beginning, while his body adjusted, but since it's going on a little longer than it should be, Dr. H wants to see if a reduced dose will counter that, while still keeping his BP down. The only other concern is Hubs cholesterol. His LDL's are a little high, but Dr. H doesn't want to put him on another medicine for that. He suggested we try the DASH diet, which is primarily for hypertension, but does help reduce cholesterol, too. I've already found a couple of inexpensive books/cookbooks on eBay that I'm going to get.
So, that's about it.
** Regarding the title of this post.... I am just not creative enough to come up with something new every single time...
