A writer I am not... A triathlete I may be

I think we can all agree that writing & updating this blog has not been a high priority.  I guess all this physical fitness has made me a lazy blogger.  But it's more likely that with training & homeschooling and menial day to day stuff, I'm just too tired to sit for very long & write a blog.

So much has happened since I last posted.  That problem with the muscle behind my knee went away.  In fact, pretty much all the troubles, aches & pains in my knees have disappeared.  I've lost nearly 25 lbs, I finished my first 5k (technically, my 2nd, but the 1st I really trained for).  I am doing the Couch 2 5k class again.  This time I have more friends doing it with me.  T, who tells me that he dislikes me for making her run in this heat.  H, who is running with her hubby, B - whom we all dislike because he runs way faster than us & doesn't even appear to break a sweat.  S, who is plugging right along & not giving up (SO proud of you, girl!).  And T & I even have our boys running with us.  Rocky & Rambo (mine) & C are just awesome little men.  We are so proud of them.  Baby girl is out there, too.  In the jogging stroller.  Which makes for good strength training, but it really stinks to push that thing!

We're 7 weeks into the 10 week class and looking forward to finishing up with the Streetlight 5k on July 15th.  Three more weeks!  Woot!

I'm officially registered for the Rambling Rose Triathlon on September 25th.  I'm excited but nervous.  D has told me she'll be right there with me every swim stroke, every bike pedal & every step of the way.  I'm glad she talked me into this.  It's not something I ever would have considered on my own.  She's definitely my workout inspiration/motivation.  I know I won't be able to finish without her by my side.  Ok, well, maybe that last part isn't entirely true.  I know I COULD do it without her.  But it wouldn't be as much fun for me.

I'll try to post everyday - at least to just tell you what I did training-wise.

Today's workout:
2 mile run (30 mins)
4 mile bike (20 mins)
