Sorry I haven't posted in a while. You all know how it is, life runs along faster than you expect at times. The Couch to 5k class started up again this week, we're starting our homeschool year on Tuesday and coupled with my regular training, it's just made for a busy time (that will only become more busy!).
Training is moving right along. D came over the other night & helped me go through a few things about riding the bike out on the road -running through the gears & figuring out about where to stay, how to put the chain back on should it come off (and how best to avoid it coming off), practicing getting on & off the bike (don't laugh, road/race bikes are different from touring bikes - the saddle sits higher and I'm a short girl to begin with!), things like that. It's hard to believe that the race is just 3 weeks from tomorrow. I'm ready, but I'm still anxious & nervous. It's one thing to train, it's a completely different one to actually DO it!
Weight loss seems to be back on track. After being off the for almost 3 weeks, I only gained back 2 lbs and I've already lost that plus .2 more. So I'm feeling good, both physically and mentally.
